Simplifying Staff Notation

Changing the way the World Thinks of Music, Simplifying Staff Notation

W
ho says Staff notation is a Headache? It is not! In fact it is a potion for musicians. The principles to learn Staff is a set of rigid beliefs. But as Music is based on Logic, Staff notation can also be learned easily by simplifying it. The post below shows it how, it changes the way the world thinks of Music.

You feed a beggar one day; you have to feed him regularly. You teach him how to fish and he can learn how to live. Same is with the music. You can never get Music unless you try to do it in your own. Don't be too much parasitic. Well, it is okay up to certain limit but regression to same leech trend is not gonna help you out to learn music for real. You gotta try to learn it on your own way. I did it without any special help from any music teacher. Now it is your turn.

Music is not compelling. It is somewhat that comes from your heart. To be a great musician, you need not have knowledge about all aspects of it. Only 30% knowledge about it can help you.
So this post was intended to the Staff Notation Lessons. Let's get started.

I have already given some insights in the previous posts about the staff notation. This post will help you know the notes position on the staff lines, but not the SYMBOL, only with the Alphabetical notes

 T                                                                                  F     F#
 R    C                                                                      E
 E     L                                                         D  D#
 B     E                                             C  C#
 L     F                                        B
 E                                   A  A#
                          G   G#
             F    F#
--     E

Well, I had problem uploading the Staff Images. So I thought of new way which will be simple to you guys.

You still remember that
Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge and F A C E....?
Well, the Letters which are crossed: E G B D F are in face over the 5 staff lines.
Likewise the 4 Red letters FACE are the root notes lying in the middle of the lines.
You should know that the order of 12 musical notes is:

C       C#     D       D#     E       F       F#     G       G#     A       A#     B.

As the first line indicates the E note, the successive note is F which lies between the 1st and 2nd staff lines from below. F# is the note built on the root of F. So the later is indicated between those 2 lines at the same position of F with Sharp Notation "#". And the same process continues.

All the Maestros you see apply this principle. You may ask how come they know this all. Well, this is all logic. When you know the order and frequency of the notes, you can realize which fret to play. So it all needs your insight while playing. Once you learn this, you will find the consecutive steps simpler.

Anyway, this is the end of 1st session of Staff Notation Lesson. I will give you an assignment: Memorize all the notes in order. Be able to locate the notes alphabetically in staff. That's all.

In next post, I will be helping you to transform the Notes herein into their musical symbols.
Good Luck!
Keep Rocking!
