From the earlier records of LP's "Hybrid Theory", the song "In the End", this song stands out to be the sequel of the song:Waiting for the end because, in latter, the songs says Waiting for the end and in the former song, that in the end it doesn't even matter. So there is a close relationship between these two songs.

Okay now to one song only, ie. Waiting for the end.
This song may sound like someone is betrayed by their loved ones and so s/he sees no point in living  and the life seems too much long to live. SO the person is waiting anxiously for his end to come. Damn it man. Wake up. Linkin Park is not that kinda band to shit on writing such kind of lyric. Linkin Park doesn't give a shit to such thing.

This song is closely connected with the human evolution and his deeds and the thing that he should regret for. We people have woorsened the state of the earth too much that we have only one thing left for us to do. Just Wait for the end. thats all. The theme of the song becomes clear when it shows the polar bear in zodiac sign because it is the most affected animal due to our misdeed that has resulted the global warming and such other things.

In secong verse of the Rap by mike, the first line says: "What was left when the fire was gone...." this tries to say about the energy cisis. Whatever we have been doing, At present we feel it is right but in long-run it will prove out to be totally wrong. Cuz we have our mind dead. And all we are doing will result to the ebd and the band is worried about it. And it is obviousa that the end means destruction of all our present efforts and it is not a child's game to start it from the beginning.
