A year back (in 2012 November), I began my work on
this “The Last Supper” by Da Vinci! While making this art, I got to understand lots
of things and story behind it!
Da Vinci took rather longer to complete this
painting! Well, I made this in two weeks roughly!
Da Vinci was contracted to make this painting for
the local church back in his time! But he was not just making any ordinary
painting! He was recreating the history, the MYTH! Therefore Da Vinci used
models for bringing the faces in the painting to life! He was nearly done, but
still, a couple of characters has to be modeled- Jesus and Judas! The reason is
the polarity in this persona! It took several years for Da Vinci to find the
right model to be Jesus and Judas!
Finally, Da Vinci found the suitable model! He
turned the face into painting vigorously and perfectly that one can sense the
positive vibe naturally! But the real deal was with Judas! Finally, he found
the suitable model for Judas—A drunkard, hobo…. And all that one could explain
in the person with negative vibes! After turning up the Judas in the painting…
the model reveals that Da Vinci made his face twice in the painting. In fact,
that person whom Da Vinci modeled as Judas was the same who modeled for Jesus!
