Finally,
after a slightly much delay, Tribhuvan University (TU) is generous enough to
disclose the Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) Result of August 2014
(Shrawan 2071). Congratulations to all of you guys who passed. And of course,
congratulations to all those BBA grads from Shanker Dev Campus who passed with
distinction (almost all of ‘em, I suppose, no exception). Now you can pursue
whatever you want, unless it is some engineering or physician or something like
that.

But
not so fast! Considering the transitional phase of our country Nepal, you may
be in dilemma in what to do afterwards. Okay, Indian Embassy has its
scholarship schemes for Master’s Degree. That’s good. God Bless India… India

Seems
like, for the foreseeable future, you guys are gonna be studying and studying
and….! Stop it! Unless you know what you wanna do with your life, and are damn
sure that your are gonna do it no matter what (I know many of you hardly fall
in that category)… you are studying just for the sake of studying. There is no
meaning of your life. Before you know it, your hair start to get grey without
you using artificial ‘grey’ hair color. Miracle!? No! You are turning old
sooner that you deserve to! Heck it, you never deserve to grow old, so why are
you choosing to grow old? Why are you going to suffer?
BBA
is over. Good for you, and good for me too! (I too am like one of you guys)
SO
what now? “Of course… MBA”, you say. Well… that’s predictable and reasonable.
But ask yourself this: is that experience worth the precious two years of your
life and some couple of hundred thousand (or more) bucks worth. University and
MBA are great in themselves. But instead of spending huge sums of your (or your
parents’) hard-earned money to learn marginally useful information that could
be acquired for a few hundred bucks from a local bookstore or ubiquitous
Google, you can best utilize your time and resources learning things that
actually counts in practical life. Talking about Google, Americans didn’t just
develop the holy internet to make it easy for you to search some celebrities’
leaked nude photos online.
It’s
about time you got one Kickass Street-smart MBA! Jim Rohn – a college drop-out
turned millionaire testifies: “Formal education will make you a living;
self-education will make you a fortune.” School is a place where one hundred
people read the same book. That’s downright stupidity. Those one hundred people
can read one hundred books. Do the math.
