I grew up listening to Linkin Park, Chester Bennigton. The way the band gave a new taste in music and the way
they told stories through their songs and the way Chester Bennigton put his
voice on the words… Linkin Park is undoubtedly the most revolutionary band and
Chester was one of the most talented singers in the world. I was so influenced
by Linkin Park and Chester Bennington that I made several arts of them. I even have my blog's name by Linkin Park: Linking the Myths.... Tribute to Linkin Park.
Breaking the hearts of millions
of his fans and music lovers around the globe, the news came on July 20, 2017
of his death… where he was found dead at the age of 41. Chester Bennington died
of suicide by hanging at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California. It may
be a coincidence or the tragedy of death of Chris Cornell, who was a close
friend of Chester Bennington, that the Linkin Park lead vocalist hanged himself
on Cornell’s 53rd Birthday on Thursday. Chris Cornell also died of
suicide by hanging himself two months ago. Chester was so aggrieved due to Cornell’s
death that he couldn’t finish the song “One more light” performed by Linkin
Park in Cornell’s honor.
Linkin Park emerged out in the
late 1990s and became one of the most popular and successful musical bands of
the 21st Century. The band changed their musical styles with the
maturity the band achieved. Their songs told stories which were so relatable.
After Bennington’s death, it has left a void in Linkin Park. The world wants
much more from them. Let’s see, how Linkin Park will deal with this. We hope
that Linkin Park will continue to exist, if not for others, at least for
Chester Bennington.
For now, let’s pray for Chester’s
peace. May his Soul Rest in peace.
