Is Nepathya feeling Nostlagic after seven years?

After serving their fans with two albums viz. Ghatana and Mero Desh , dedicated to the “Wounds of Conflicts” and “The Nation’s Plight”, the all time-high Nepali Folk Band has now returned to its typical style of Music. After the break of seven years, Nepathya  is now back with the Folk$Rock Genre of the Music in their next Album, which is going to be their 9^th Musical Band Album. In spite of the accomplishment of the Recording task, Nepathya was reluctant to divulge the name of very album for some few days. But their ninth Album which is the most awaited is baptized "Aina Jhyal" Anyway, their distributers and producer, “Nepa~laya” is looking forward to launch the album in market at the mid September.

The new album has the songs which could make the Nepathya’s fans get on the Dance-steps. It is clear that, the former two consecutive albums, “Ghatana” and “Mero Desh” were kinda serious type. Lead Vocalist, Amrit Gurung says that for this album, they are including indigenous tone in Folk-Rock to touch the people’s heart.

The last Folk-Rock album of theirs was launched in 2003 with the album “Bheda ko Oon Jasto”. The band which has been entertaining the people for 2 decades surprisingly and suddenly changed their typical genre and style of music to serious type. At the same time, this band had gone to the nationwide Musical Concert tour, with the motto of “Education for Peace”

Nepathya’s new upcoming album has 10 songs altogether.  Each song has the Remake and Compose of Rural and Typical Folk Tone. Moreover, the words in Lyric are also typical. The songs are like somewhat Fast rock as “Taal ko Pani”, which shuffles to slow tempo. This time, the words of Poet Laureate Madhav Ghimire and Voice of Amrit Grg. together is going to work as opium for most of the Music Lovers.

Their upcoming album is going to celebrate the 20^th year of the band formation. This band was initiated with the founder members comprising Amrit Gurung, Deepak Rana and Bheem Pun. Since then, Nepathya has performed with 21 various artists as its band members. At present, the current members are Amrit along with Dhurba Lama, Subin Shakya, Suraj Thapa and Niraj Gurung.

Remember, this time too, Nepathya has not forgotten their native style of cheering to small children as “Ho..Ho….Babu”…!
