Invincible Bayern Rules! |
Finally,
the inevitable happened and the invincible prevailed. Pele called Football a
beautiful game. Now I see why. The UEFA Champions League 2020 Final played
between PSG and FC Bayern Munich on 23rd August 2020 was the most
awaited game of the year, amid COVID-19 Situation.

By
this time, the news must have been all over the web on who won the UCL Title.
Bayern brought the trophy home with 1-0 score against PSG, and this is the sixth
time that Bayern won the Champions League, after seven long years since its
last title back in 2013. And this time, they made it with 100 percent win ratio…
winning the trophy without losing even a single game. What a time to be
alive!!!
The
only goal scored for Bayern in the Final was by Frenchman Kingsley Coman at the
59th minute of the game. It’s worth noting that Coman used to be in
PSG. What a destiny? Scoring against his own former club of his own home
country. That’s why it is a beautiful game. You play it with heart.
What a save... Neuer!

PSG,
on the other hand, should be applauded for the journey it made in this
Champions League. It had Neymar and Mbappe, the star players. Back when Neymar
left FC Barcelona in 2017, many criticized his decision. But now he has proved
that he was right in leaving his former club. FC Barcelona must be missing
Neymar, especially in the aftermath of loss against FC Bayern in the Quarter Final
with 2-8 figure. Neymar might have felt that he couldn’t thrive under the
shadow of heavyweight Lionel Messi in Barcelona. So he decided he would set his
own legacy and make his own distinct mark in the Club Football history, and he
proved it this time. Even though PSG couldn’t win over the Bayern in the Final,
they have won the hearts of millions of football fans all over the world. First
time in the history, PSG has come so close to the Champions League Title, and
Neymar must be appreciated for leading the team to that point so far. A job
well done.
Looking
back at the game, PSG could have turned the table and it had some really good
chances. But Bayern has Neuer. The name’s enough. At the 88th minute
of the game, the world seemed to stop for a while. Mbappe and Neuer,
one-on-one. And Neuer gives his excellent show with his magical footwork. Wow.
This game is gonna give me fever for some days. I hope it’s not related to
COVID-19.
