The wait’s almost over for all the die-hard fans of football. And if you are one of them, tonight’s gonna be a good night (of course, it depends on the time zone). The most awaited moment is here: Champions League Final.
The UEFA Champions League 2020 Final
is scheduled to kick-off at 21:00 Central European Time Zone (GMT +01:00) on 23rd
August 2020, Sunday in Portugal. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the
stadium will be without fans being there physically, but I am sure the fever is
high among them wherever they are.

This Final
is more special and unique in a sense that the finalists are what most of the
people haven’t expected to be. UEFA Champions League usually used to be
dominated by either Spanish, Italian or English Clubs. But this time, we have
the Football Clubs from France and Germany.

French FC Paris
Saint-Germain and German FC Bayern Munch are facing each other for the
Champions League Cup tonight. This is an even more special event for PSG
because this is their first time ever that they got so close to the Champions
League Title. On the other hand, and I must say, a stronger hand, FC Bayern is
hoping to bring home the trophy for the sixth time.
It’s
difficult to say for certain who is going to shine tonight because, to be
honest, both the teams are equally deserving. FC Bayern has already proved
itself against FC Barcelona in the Quarter Final with the jaw dropping score of
8-2. (Barcelona must be missing Neymar so bad). FC Bayern is in the charismatic
leadership of Robert Lewandowski (he has this season’s best goal account of 15).
And there are other star players who can’t be missed. Muller is there. And
Manuel Neuer still has his flair. In short, I must say that FC Bayern is
unbeatable as a team.
But let’s
not be so judgmental. Have you forgotten about Neymar and Mbappe? Yeah, they
are in PSG. On a side not, Neymar’s decision to leave FC Barcelona back in 2017
paid off after all. One, he got the chance to escape from the Barcelona’s heavyweight
legend Lionel Messi. And second, he could set his own legacy by leading the PSG
to their first ever UEFA Champion League Finals. Either way, Neymar is a hero
this time. This League may also be indicative of the steeping Messi and
Christiano Ronaldo’s era.
PSG has
come this far in the history. Will it be able to do one more tonight? Or is it
gonna be FC Bayern winning the Champions League Title for the sixth time? And
this time is special for Bayern because if they win then they will be the first
ever in the history of UEFA Champions League to win the Title with 100 percent
win ratio, i.e. without losing even a single game in the entire league.
For now,
it’s just a couple of hours away from Kick-off. So get on your boots. Buckle
up. Grab the booze. Snacks. Anything. And get ready for the game of your life. It’s
gonna be awesome.
