Running is undoubtedly the best form of physical exercise for an individual of any age. It is the best in cardio exercise which helps to keep your fat level in check and prevent any cardiovascular disease. That’s why you should run for your life if your goal is to be physically fit. I mean, come on… who doesn’t want to stay fit in their life?

You don’t have to be a marathon runner to benefit from running. In fact, a moderate but regular amount of running can do magic to you. What matters is consistency.

Benefits Of Running

Imagine you went to African Jungle Safari on foot. And you see a lion. What do you do? Obviously, you run! I know this is just a bad joke, but just see how strong and fit are the lion and other wild animals who have to run for their life every day. Our ancestors used to run for survival. Today we run for our health. And health is for survival.

Feel Better

More than for physical reasons, running helps you feel better about yourself. You set the goals and every day you set the bar high and if you are really serious, you push yourself to the limit. At the end of the day, you feel better that you ran even though you hate dragging yourself every morning out of the bed. I know I have been there. Waking up early morning just to run looks stupid at first.

Sleep Better

Many people are suffering from the problem of insomnia. In some cases, running can help to solve this problem. If you are not being able to get sound sleep, then you aren’t running enough. Running helps you to fall asleep better because, of course, your body needs to rest after all.

Lose Weight

In fact, most people today run with the sole purpose of losing weight. Running is a complete form of exercise and it burns more calories than any other form of exercise. Don’t worry, you need not run as fast as Usain Bolt. Keep going at a moderate pace which is more effective at losing fat.

Besides these life-altering benefits, running comes with our privileges. Your blood pressure stays in check. It reduces depression and the chances of diabetes. Above all, running boosts your immunity.

However, don’t take running as the all-in-one solution. You have to take care of your diet habits too for better results. And don’t injure yourself with overrunning. Just run for your life!
